Robin Hopkins (writer) is a writer, an actress, a podcast host, and a producer living in Brooklyn. She is the author of the award-winning book “If These Ovaries Could Talk: The Things We’ve Learned About Making an LGBTQ Family,” which took first prize in the nonfiction category in the Alternative Choice Awards 2020 and was a finalist for a 2021 Goldie (Golden Crown Literary Awards). The book is an offshoot of her popular podcast, “If These Ovaries Could Talk,” which garnered 1 million downloads with notable guests like Rosie O’Donnell, Michelle Buteau, Judy Gold, and Sarah Kate Ellis, CEO of GLAAD. Robin is also a contributor to the NY Times, Mother Mag, G&L Review, Medium, and Huff Post where her articles were featured in the Parents and Queer Voices sections. Robin is also an accomplished playwright. Her one-woman show In Search of Tulla Berman debuted to sold-out crowds in San Francisco, with subsequent runs in Winnipeg, Canada, the Pelican Theatre in New York City, and the Ars Nova Theatre. Robin’s play Love, Punky went on to have a reading at Ars Nova and a run at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. In the acting world, Robin has appeared in "Boardwalk Empire," "Louie," "Hindsight," and the feature film, "Mi America."
